About Holiday Hoops
Holiday HOOPS & ARTs was founded in 2001 by Westley “Doc” Holiday, Sr. and Judy Linder Holiday. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children and families through Athletics, Arts, Life skills, and Health. The HOOPS in Holiday HOOPS stands for “Helping Others Obtain Personal Success,” and ARTs stands for “Amplifying & Refining Talents.” For nearly 25 years, we have provided a lifeline to the youth, offering access to high-quality sports and arts programs that foster teamwork, discipline, creativity, and academic excellence. More than 1,500 children and families have benefitted from our programs, and each year, we reach 50-70 young people, preparing them for success in education, careers, and leadership roles. Our vision extends beyond the court and stage; through mentorship, life skills training, and health initiatives. We grow well-rounded individuals who contribute to their communities and achieve lifelong success. Over 65% of our participants come from underrepresented backgrounds, and we work to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances.
